Social Groups for Youth

We are offering the opportunity for your child to be matched with an American student as a social outlet and to gain more connections in Cincinnati. For the safety of your child and the American student, these sessions will be hosted virtually. At SAIR, we will connect you with a student of similar age (if possible) and interests. When a match has been made, we will set up a virtual meeting for 30 - 60 minutes at a time that would be convenient for both your child and the student. If possible, a SAIR representative will be present at the beginning of the meeting to introduce your child and the student.

The meeting between the student and your child is not intended for tutoring. There is a seperate program for tutoring which can be accessed on the Resources for Immigrants page. During the session, we will offer activities that your child and the student can complete, such as "Get to Know You" games.

To sign up, please use the form below This opportunity is available for children under the age of 18. After your form is complete, we will reach out to set up a brief virtual orientation with SAIR. American student buddies will have been interviewed by SAIR before being authorized to be a buddy. We can not guarantee that you will be matched with a buddy as our organization relies on student volunteers, but we will try our best to match your child.
