October, 2024 – SAIR continues to find ways for our members to support the immigrant and refugee communities here in Cincinnati. This summer Seven Hills School chapter member Jackson Hamon was inspired to use his talents to hand make a table and two benches for a refugee family which he donated to Catholic Charities Southwest Ohio's (CCSWO) Refugee Resettlement Services. Catholic Charities has many programs to support recently arrived refugees transition to life in the United States, including placement in furnished housing. We were glad to learn a family from Venezuela will be enjoying Jackson's furniture.
We are very appreciative of CCSWO, especially Dan Sarrell, Mission Advancement Director, for their ongoing support of SAIR and our community outreach efforts. Jackson and SAIR were recently featured in CCSWO's quarterly newsletter, Blessings.
